Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Connective Tissue Disorders, and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome are all still considered fairly new diagnosis. In reality, they are a puzzle to many doctors and if you have been affected by one or all of these, known as the trifecta, then you my friends belong to this large puzzle that has yet to be completed by the medical world!
Nobody has been able to crack the code yet but the good news is that at least it’s on the radar! There are physicians out there that are working diligently to understand the symptoms, provide treatment, and find an underlying cause.
Be patient and know there is hope! If you are new to this chaos or have been struggling for awhile, just know that it is manageable. It’s about finding the right medications, diet, and lifestyle to settle the symptoms. Also, know that they are working on identifying causes. There is some promising trials happening and in time, I’m sure there will be a breakthrough.
In the meantime, let’s learn together, support each other, and know that we are not alone. There are many pieces to this puzzle and eventually it will be put together!
